When Guru Nanak arrived in Sangla Deep, he sat in a dry garden and began singing hymns in praise of the Divine. As he sang, the barren garden turned lush and green, and flowers bloomed in abundance. The people of the town were amazed by this miracle, and word quickly reached Raja Shivnabh. Intrigued, the king sent his minister to test Guru Nanak further. The minister offered valuable gifts, but Guru Nanak refused them, stating that material possessions held no value for him.

Still determined to test Guru Nanak, Raja Shivnabh sent beautiful women to distract him. However, Guru Nanak remained undisturbed, absorbed in meditation and the remembrance of God. Undeterred, the king sent his most beautiful woman to Guru Nanak at night. She tried to tempt him, but Guru Nanak calmly advised her to focus on remembering God and not waste her life on fleeting beauty and worldly desires. Deeply moved by his words, she bowed at his feet and left in tears.

When Raja Shivnabh learned of this, he realized Guru Nanak’s divine nature and went to meet him. He bowed before Guru Nanak and sought his guidance. Guru Nanak blessed the king and showed him the path of true devotion, teaching him that the purpose of human life is to connect with the Divine through sincere worship and righteous living. This story highlights Guru Nanak’s unwavering focus on God and his ability to inspire others to walk the path of truth and spirituality.
